This retreat is geared towards Sikh youth across North America, who are genuinely interested in advancing their knowledge of Sikhi and strengthening their ties with Sikh value system. Our intent is to foster a spirit of lifelong learning and a dedication to Gurmat.

By participating in various interactive workshops, debates, open discussions and service projects, we will explore several avenues of the Sikh religion and work to define the ideal lifestyle of a Gursikh. Honoring the 300th anniversary of Gurgaddi to Guru Granth Sahib, we shall focus upon the universal message contained in our Scriptures and highlight its unique features. At the heart of this year’s experience will be to provide an environment that supports the learning of Gurmat and helps to live in accordance with the guidelines laid down by our Gurus. In addition, we will explore the “burning questions” of the youth and discuss how important it is to understand the role of Khalsa Panth. With your active participation, we hope to achieve these goals and explore the many facets of the Sikh Religion.

This is a humble attempt to create a Sikh environment during the upcoming Memorial Day weekend and to provide a glimpse of the Sikh way of life in the hope that this may be continued after the retreat is concluded.
